Lamentations of the Lovelorn BRACE BRACE BRACE!
08/03/2010: Anyone who knows me knows that I ain't got the best track record with women. Even if I manage to pluck up the courage to get over my various neuroses and paranoia and ask the girl out, inevitably it all falls apart due to circumstance or clinginess or just plain difference. Or, on the other side, girls who do genuinely like me seem to have a problem in TELLING me while they have an attraction to me. Too often have I heard the phrase 'Yeah, I used to like you back in...' It's not as if I was attached at (most of) those points, why didn't they tell me beforehand? Gah! I suspect it may have something to do with (the logical conclusion would be 'me' but we're discarding logic for the day) the ridiculous attitude that still persists in this country that the man should always make the first move. I'm a nerd engineer. I write and draw comics in my spare time. I don't have the social confidence to make many first moves!! And I'm sure I'm not alone. So girls, if you like a guy, tell him! Same goes for shy guys as well. Don't wind up bitter and twisted and funny-ha-ha like me (I'm 22 but I have the bitterness of a 40-year old :P). Carpe diem!
